How do I get started?
How long does it take to get started with HELM Culture Score?
We aim to get you up and running quickly. Once you sign up, we prioritise onboarding within 48 hours.
The time to launch your first survey depends on the service level you choose:
- HELM Essentials – Your survey can be ready within 24 hours of onboarding.
- HELM Professional – Once we receive your employee list and email addresses, we can launch your survey within 24 hours.
- HELM Enterprise – We can advise you of this once we understand your bespoke requirements
We’re flexible and will work to your timescales. We recommend an onboarding call so we can get to know you and your business first, but if you’re working to a tight deadline, let us know — we’ll do our best to meet it.
Is there a minimum number of employees an organisation must have to use HELM Culture Score?
We recommend that organisations have at least 30 employees to take part in the HELM Culture Score survey. This helps ensure that the results are both meaningful and confidential. Not everyone may complete the survey, so aiming for 30 employees allows for a strong enough response rate—even if only half take part. With very small teams, there’s a greater risk that individual responses could be identified, and results can swing significantly based on just one or two people. By keeping to this minimum, we can provide insights you can trust, while also protecting your team’s anonymity.
Do we need to install any software to use HELM Culture Score?
No installations required. HELM Culture Score survey is fully online and accessible through a secure link. We handle everything behind the scenes for you. The reporting dashboard is web based and access will be given once you partner with us.
We have signed up for HELM Professional. What’s the process for launching the surveys?
We will contact you ahead of each survey round and request a list of current employees and their email addresses. Based on this data, we will update your account and schedule the survey on your behalf. We will send a reminder midway through the survey round, although we strongly encourage your leadership team to drive participation with their teams. We will also end the survey after the set period.

How much does HELM Culture Score cost?
We offer three levels of service and the prices for each can be found here or contact us with details of your requirements and we will issue a tailored quote based on your organisations size and needs.
What are the different levels of services that you offer?
We have three different levels of service depending on your organisations size and needs. HELM Essentials offers a more flexible DIY approach where you can issue the survey link as required. HELM Professional is managed by the HELM Team – supporting you each survey round, so you can concentrate on your business. HELM Enterprise is for large organisations and / or bespoke requirements.
How many HELM Culture Score surveys should we purchase?
You should purchase enough surveys to cover the number of employees in your organisation. If you expect your team to grow during the year, we recommend factoring that into your initial purchase.
That said, we don’t restrict participation. Everyone in your organisation is welcome to take part in the survey, even if it exceeds your initial estimate. At the end of your contract period, we’ll reconcile your usage. If there’s a significant difference between the number of surveys purchased and the number completed, we may issue a retrospective invoice to cover the additional participants.
What Else Do I Need to Know?
How is the HELM Culture Score Calculated?
We use a proprietary scoring system based on your team’s responses across key engagement drivers. Scores range from 0 to 100 – but this isn’t a simple percentage. Instead, it provides a balanced, meaningful view of how your culture is performing, allowing you to benchmark against others in your industry and track progress over time.
Will we get a report or dashboard after the survey is completed?
Yes. You will receive your own unique link to your dashboard. This will show you all the details of your survey results: your HELM Culture score, your eNPS score, trending data, benchmarking data, individual driver scores, and of course the respondent comments.
his will be sent to you shortly after your first survey has started. The dashboard is updated overnight with all new responses. Again this helps protect confidentiality.
Why does HELM run surveys every 4 months instead of quarterly?
We’ve found that a four-month cycle strikes the right balance — it reduces the risk of survey fatigue while giving leaders enough time to review results, talk with their teams, and take meaningful action before the next round.
A study by Workforce Science Associates showed that surveying employees too frequently can lower participation, but when feedback is acted on and spaced appropriately, response rates improve. Our approach is backed by this evidence — and by what employees say they want: less noise, more impact.
